Description: In the small village of Vallelinda, the previous parish priest having died, young Don Vincenzo arrives, accompanied by his trusty guitar. The new priest is welcomed with interest by the parishioners (especially the women), observed with curiosity by tourists and female tourists since it is vacation time. Four free-spirited girls persecute him in various ways; the Swedish procuress crosses his path; Claretta, Amilcare’s licentious wife contorts him by telling him in confession about the amorous games she is wont to play with her husband. On duty at the rectory is Marta who, because of the young priest’s presence, becomes sexually aroused. The strongest temptation, however, comes from Paola, a young, pretty, sensible and motherly writer of poetry.
