Description: Jacques, doctor (Jean-Pierre Bacri), and Carole (Nathalie Baye), his wife, live in a house in the Paris region. François (Melvil Poupaud) and Edith (Isabelle Carré) live in the neighboring house. The latter must succeed Jacques and take over his clientele. Jacques spends a lot of time with François to pass on his estate to him. Carole and Edith, meanwhile, become friends. Very quickly, Jacques falls in love with Edith. She is first moved by the trouble she causes in him. Then she begins to love him. But she doesn’t see that she is also “in love with herself in the process of loving.” She also doesn’t see that they are heading towards the violence of their feelings…
