—A small circus turns to nude performances and live sex shows in order to survive financially. The cast also have it away in their caravans. As with other 70s Danish films the hard core versions seem to be shorter than the soft core ones. There are many unknowns. Some of them may have appeared in other films. Others probably did not. There may some duplication among the unknowns for this film.

What a strange and fascinating film. According to IMDb, it’s categorized as a “documentary,” it’s from 1971 (not 1973), and its original runtime was considerably longer (105 minutes), as it included zoophilic scenes (taking advantage of the circus environment), animals copulating, and even the violent reenactment of a famous gang rape of a young woman. It also included a series of interviews with the actresses at the end, offering their perspectives on the circus world and sexuality in general. This is why the film came to be considered a “documentary.” Well, all of this was removed by the Danish Censorship Board in 1975, citing “indecency.” Nevertheless, remains a rare gem.
